    华中最大质子医学中心正式启用

    　　中新网武汉12月19日电 (马芙蓉 聂文闻)全国首批、华中最大质子医学中心——华中科技大学同济医学院附属协和医院(简称“武汉协和医院”)质子医学中心，19日正式启用。 　　质子治疗是当今世界上最先进、最尖端的肿瘤放疗治疗技术。与传统光子放射治疗方法相比，质子可以近乎理想地实现肿瘤部位的“定点爆破”，在将质子射束直接输送到肿瘤处并集中释放的同时，最大限度减少对周围健康组织和器官的损害。 武汉协和医院放疗科治疗师为患者进行质子治疗。　刘坤维 摄 　　武汉协和医院质子医学中心于2019年9月获批，2020年7月开建，2024年9月开始临床试验。 　　武汉协和医院金银湖院区肿瘤中心主任杨坤禹介绍，共有47名患者参与临床试验，病灶覆盖颅内、胸部、腹部、盆腔、头颈部、四肢、腋窝、脊柱等部位。长达4个多月的临床试验结果显示，质子治疗有效性达97.7%。 　　杨坤禹指出，肿瘤主要分为血液系统肿瘤和实体瘤两大类，质子治疗对没有扩散的实体瘤是不错的选择。此外，因能更精准地照射肿瘤，减少对周围正常组织的损伤，利于远期生长发育，质子治疗在儿童肿瘤治疗中优势突出。 　　开机首日，首批接受质子治疗的三位患者均为4岁至10岁的儿童。武汉协和医院同步推出“肿瘤患儿关爱行动”：为经评估适合质子治疗的前100位14岁以下儿童肿瘤患者，每人减免治疗费用2万元。 　　除三个治疗舱外，武汉协和医院质子医学中心还设有一个临床研究舱。杨坤禹介绍，临床研究舱除致力于放射物理、放射生物及新技术研发等基础研究外，还将针对中国人肿瘤特点，建立符合中国人的肿瘤数据库，为提升肿瘤防治精准性和有效性积累基础。(完) 【编辑:李润泽】|dfg|
